cos(me)tics

i recently noticed that i like the way eyelids fold.

i like to see full,

full eyelids

where the skin stretches over the eyeball

like a sock

fitting snug around a foot.

i don’t like that about makeup,

it covers natural

beauty

in pursuit of stereotypical

beauty.

well then,

what if i want the

delicate fold of my eyelid?

what if i want the

little hairs that got lost on their way

to eyebrow uniformity?

what if i want

chapped, razor-sharp

dangerous lips?

i suppose it’s funny because

that’s all makeup really does

make

stuff

up.
